2009/06 Meet Sercalo at Laser World of Photonics, Munich Booth # B1.301, hall B1
Sercalo will showcase its technologies to fabricate custom made optical assemblies such as
- high power fiber collimators,
- optical assemblies with micro-optical elements (in collaboration with Suss-Microoptic SA, Switzerland)
- micromachined mechanical elements
- new MEMS products such as steering MEMS mirrors and arrays
Sercalo will also present its standard products for switching, filtering and attenuation of light using MEMS technology.
2009/05 Meet Sercalo at CLEO, booth 1542, May 31-June 5
Together with our US representative Teracomm LLC we will present Sercalo's activities at the CLEO exhibition. We'll show our activities related to
- fiber optical components based on MEMS technology
- 2 dimensional fiber arrays
- MEMS steering mirrors for advanced optical components
2008/09 Sercalo will assist to ECOC 2008 in Brussels. Booth H199 (Hall 7)
Sercalo will showcase its optical fiber components used for optical communications. It will present as well, its 3D MEMS Micro-mirror and a 4x32 2D MEMS collimator.
2008/06 Sercalo will be present in Optatec 2008 in Frankfurt. Booth E40 (Hall 3)
Sercalo will showcase a life, dynamic and automated demo of its titable MEMS 3D Micro-Mirror. It will also be presenting a 4x32 2D MEMS Collimator.
2007/09: Look inside Sercalo’s MEMS at ECOC 2007 in Berlin, Booth No. 15054
Sercalo will showcase a life demo of it's tiltable mirror platform designed for a wide variety of optical processing applications, such as free space beam steering, 3-d switching and optical add-drop multiplexing. A second life demo will give insights into Sercalo's fiber optic MEMS components.
2007/03: Sercalo will be present at OFC 2007, Anaheim, USA. Booth #3156.
Sercalo will showcase its product offerings at the Optical Fiber Conference at booth 3156. A life demo will give insights into the working principle of Sercalo MEMS components. Also customized solutions for the switching and attenuation of fiber optic signals will be presented for remote Test and Measurement, Video/Audio signal routing and Network reconfiguration
2007/01: Sercalo’s quality management system obtains iso9001:2000 certification
2006/12: Sercalo’s MEMS switches now available with polarization maintaining fibers
Beside the standard Telecom fiber, Sercalo’s MEMS switches have been available also to a number of specialty single and multimode fibers for various wavelengths between 500 and 1700 nm. Now this family of MEMS switch products is extended to polarization maintaining fibers.
2006/05: Sercalo to provide switch and attenuator solutions in “plug and play” rack
Sercalo has launched a new product line of rack mountable fiber optic switches, to provide end-user customer with the benefits of Sercalo’s Switch and Attenuator technology. Applications for these “plug and play” fiber optic switches are in remote Test and Measurement, Video/Audio signal routing, Network reconfiguration and automated patch panels. The instruments can be addressed over a computer interface. For the Ethernet option a web-server allows to control the equipment over the internet.
Sercalo is able to customize these equipments to customer requirements.
2006/04: Sercalo selected by ESA for the development of a large optical MEMS switch
The European Space agency has contacted Sercalo for the development of a large optical MEMS switch with up to 100 optical fiber ports. Sercalo is leading a consortium composed of Alcateal Alenia Space, France, University of Neuchâtel, Switzerland, and EPFL, Switzerland. Delivery of a first 24x24 cross connect is scheduled for 2008.
2005/03: Sercalo participates in “Celtic initiative”
Sercalo participates in the FIRM project which is part of the Celtic initiative of the European commission. FIRM will develop a Reconfigurable-OADM demonstrator and deploy 3 such nodes in a field trial.
Sercalo has delivered several 3x8 matrix switches with a fully non blocking architecture.
2004/12: ESA chooses Sercalo components for space qualification.
The European Space Agency has selected Sercalo’s MEMS switch to explore its potential use in space payloads. A consortium lead by Alcatel Alenia Space will elaborate a qualification procedure and qualify a number of MEMS components. Sercalo participates in this contract by its experience in reliability qualification and MEMS manufacturing.
